LIVE PAINTING & AUCTION

These visionary artists will be painting LIVE at the festival.

On Sunday, their creations will be auctioned off, with half of the proceeds going to the artists, and half going to a childrens music program.  These talented, passionate artists feed off the energy of the festival, and their interactions with the audience.  Out of the studio and into the mix of the music and festivities !

Stay tuned for more bios on the participating artists.

Annie Strum

Annie is curious at heart and loves to experiment with different mediums, tools, and concepts. "I am inspired by learning new techniques which help aid my creativity. I love working with wood and playing with the organic patterns that already exist in nature."

Beau Kisser

Beau grew up in Maui, where the rhythms and colors of the oceans were a perpetual source of inspiration for art and the contemplation of mind outside of society’s firm definitions.   Choosing to leave Academia life,  he furthered his exploration of the psyche through paint and canvas, rather than biofeedback and computers. These colored canvases are my unique charts and graphs of my unending research to date. www.beaukissler.com

Brigitte Johnston

Brigitte's art attests to the importance of moods, emotions, and energetic relations in igniting thoughts, changing perceptions, creating chaos, forcing order upon that chaos, and enabling transformations. She works with multiple mediums with a central theme of dichotomy and harmony amongst the duality.

Chelsea West

Inspired by love, nature, and the blend of groovy colors, influenced by my beautiful home land of Joshua Tree and my two wonderful daughters.

Keziah Jeanne

Keziah paints from her visions of space travel and meditation while she draws inspiration from music gatherings, expressive dancing, and the healing powers of Earth. She creates dreamy space scenes with oil/acrylic and then incorporates crushed minerals directly into her paintings to make distant stars and raise the energy levels of her art.

Matthew Osgood

My Art reflect the beauty and richness of the world around me, from which I draw my inspiration. I seek to draw out this beauty and evoke feelings.  The creative process for me is as much about seeing – complexities of color, variations in texture, depth of field – as it is about experiencing – joy, peace, contentment, reflection, determination, hope, love, possibilities.

Michael Shawn Cuevas

California based performance artist uses symbols and colorism, while pulling inspiration from around the globe and the Great Basin. A visual espression through painting, an interpretation of life.

Tailor Pollak

I journal my life by moving color, water and line across the blank page or canvas. My right brain guides me into sacred spaces somewhere between infinity and my mind. The meditative quality of painting takes me  to 'there and back again' supporting me with nutrients I've not found in other mediums.   In gratitude for the guides who have inspired me to go higher/deeper with this discipline I created a 'The Paint and Pint'. A way to give back, pass it on and contribute to my community. I was impressed with the playfulness, perspective and results from the first 2 hour Paint and Pint experience at Alibi. Participants surprised themselves with their work of art, and I found a new source of fulfillment (you get the love you give).
